The brief

A newly renovated mid-century home on a quiet Scarsdale street. A yard that had never been considered as a whole — just a lawn behind a patio, with a tree line at the back.

The homeowner loves flowers. She wanted a simple, beautiful garden with the feeling of seclusion — and a cutting garden for the kitchen. A rose garden, for the love of roses.

From plan to garden.

The palette.

Plant palette part one — blooming perennials, structural grasses, bulbs Plant palette part two — bulbs and combos at the patio & kitchen garden

The garden, one summer in.

The property before — patio under construction, fresh sod

From this work, an idea

Hampton House inspired The Drop.

A full landscape architecture engagement, from first conversation through planting and beyond. In the years since, Sandra has distilled the most valuable part of that arc — the considered vision — into a focused offer for homes that don't need the full engagement.
